We are dealing with horrible air quality from the fire. It has been in the unhealthy range for a week. It has been bad.

Knowing how sensitive birds are to fumes, how are your chickens being affected by the fumes? Frustrating that there's nowhere they (or you) can go to get fresh air.

Their egg production has gone down. They seem to be ok other than that.

Today our air quality has gone up to another level. Very unhealthy. It just keeps rising as the smoke blows in. We are at sea level and a cold front is on top of the valley keeping all this bad air in.

Yes, the words do not make sense. What old hen said is correct. Media means pictures.

My son is fuming right now. Apparently, he called the court to check to be sure of what he had to do as far as coming to court in person on Nov 30 for the divorce. He wanted to speak to the judge who was handling it, but he got her clerk. The clerk was very rude, said he'd have to come to court like everyone else, him and his wife. He said it was in the transcript that his wife did not have to be present. The clerk said something like, "Well, did you pay for a transcript??". She was really snarky, said his wife would have to be there. He told her his wife ran off to England because the judge said it wasn't necessary for her to be present. So, he's not sure what is going to happen. If this falls apart, he should start his own proceeding and claim abandonment and infidelity, whatever the official charges are these days. He is coming up here on Thursday, he said.

Sounds like the clerk's office didn't want to look up his paperwork, and tried blowing him off. I hope that's the case, and it all goes smoothly.

Yeah, that's what I thought after considering it for a few minutes. She was probably frazzled and just wanted to push him off, but it was enough to make him a nervous wreck. Hopefully, it will all go smoothly and be over in less than two weeks. I want him 100% DONE with this wench!
