I would make sure the 3 yr old can't get to her any more if you do. Maybe slip her 2 or 3 of the eggs from the bator if they were set around the same time as hers.I'm down to 10 out of 14 eggs. My little 3 yr old brother smashed all of the eggs that were under the broody hen( 4 total). At least I know at least 2 of them were developing! Do you guys think I should put more eggs under the broody hen?
I only have 1 brooder box going at the moment & have chicks from 4-5 batches in it. That's where the nail polish comes in handy (and I did switch to putting it on top of their heads this morning, much easier to see & shouldn't come off til their feathers start to come in on their heads in about 3 weeks, by then I will be able to tell them apart). I do intend on bringing my 3 story kennel inside in the next day or 2 tho. Once the babies don't need the heat so much I will move them there to clear out the brooder for the next batch. It will also let me separate them a bit so customers can pick from the pen/s that are for sale & I can put my keepers/grow-outs in a separate pen.
It is a most wonderful feeling!! Gives hope that the others will arrive soon , too.

Came from one of the two smaller eggs. All of the rest were huge!
