How's that for todays useless trivia?

80 years ago today, the drive in movie began.

I had a lot of good times, good memories, at our
local drive in. Back in the day when you could get
a whole trunk full of people in.

There were times when we got kicked out. And there
were times when...well, there were times. There was
a guard of sorts, Harry. His name was Harry. Old man,
he snuck around with his great big flashlight. Nice guy
but I don't think he liked teenagers very much,

There were even times when her parents would go to
the movie with us.

Local drive in closed 8-10 years ago. Just a field there
now. Torn down years ago.

But a lot of memories.

Always loved going to the drive-in theater. We do still have a couple that operate during the summer months and it is quite a treat to bring the kids there. Doesn't matter what the movie is because it is all about the experience!

All I remember is lots of mosquitoes and a date that would make a few half hearted passes, and then fall asleep. We were 17.
