THE FIRST EGG MY CHICKENS LAID

Ok. I didn't take the eggs in yesterday and when I collected the EE eggs today I had three! One is olive and one looks more blue than green. What colors do they look like to you'll? View attachment 1154882 View attachment 1154884

The one in front looks mint, the middle sage and the back blue. Beautiful! Congrats!

@pitbullmama will you share your pics, age of chickens, etc. When they start laying with us. You can maybe get ideas from here also as to laying habits of chickens

I got these beauties today. My BCM has been laying eggs lighter than this with speckles. I like the darker brown that it is today. She's been laying 1.5ish weeks now. She had 2 eggs yesterday - 1 rubbery shelled egg in the box and a hard shelled round egg that looked like it came from a turtle. She left that in the run-up I think it was a surprise egg.

Hi all, new to this chicken stuff. I’ve got 27 girls that are 22 weeks tomorrow,still no eggs! I have them on a diet of alfalfa, grain, and in the evening I give then scratch grains. I also started them on layer feed when they were 18 weeks. Am I doing anything wrong? They seem happy and healthy & content. Maybe I’m just being impatient

Mine aren't bantam and I'm lucky if their eggs are bigger than peewee I expect they'll get bigger at some point, but my EE has been laying almost a month, so.....

One of my Easter Egger bantams laid her first egg at 22 weeks. My second one laid an egg about 22weeks and 5 days. My buff Brahmas and porcelain bantams are the same age as the EEs but have not laid any eggs yet. I also have 3 more EEs that look like females but they have not laid yet. That's why I asked what kind they are

My second EE egg was bigger than the first. I doubt that they will get any bigger, but maybe yours will being a larger EE.

Awwww! Thank you! We just had another start laying Friday. So now I have 2 layers! That's so exciting to me!!!!
