They are SO DEATHLY CUTE he won't be able to resist it. My dad about choked when he heard I hatched peacocks under their noses... but the second it flew onto his hand and looked at him and said "Pi wheep?" he melted. It's so hard not to when they talk to you constantly and love to snuggle- the one in the pics slept with me through the first night after being hatched because she was so upset at being alone in the incubator she wouldn't stop just screaming. I took her to bed and she snuggled up to my neck and fell asleep just exhausted! Now she rides on my shoulder while I do other chores, and if I take out her sibling she lets herself out of the brooder and tries to find me.

Sweet!

Not so sweet when they grow up and sound like a woman screaming "Help Me!!!!!" all the time. Some folks in town have some. When they get a new rookie on the force (DH is a police sgt), he always assigns the rookie to patrol that area of town. Then he sits back and waits for the rookie to call in freaking out about a murder taking place.

We had a male, but the only noises he ever made was HONK when the dogs chased him. Sometimes he would walk around the farm examining his domain, saying HONK every now and again.
