The fleas are driving me nuts!!! Any ideas how to get rid of them?

Fleas have developed a resistance to many pesticides just as bacteria have to antibiotics. I made the mistake of using flea dip frequently on my dogs and I am afraid it has affected them permanently as one acts like he has a nervous system disorder that he never had. He's afraid to walk across the kitchen floor and he sleeps alot. I feel awful. STAY AWAY from the dips, it is nothing but very powerful pesticides. I'm hoping I didn't damage my own CNS by coming into contact with these very damaging pesticides.

there are fleas where I am currently crashing--driving me daft. One bite got infected. Im using borax, but there are 21 cats (Hate cats I do) all my ratties (16) two very itchy, smelly dogs, Arlo who isnt being bothered even tho he's always sitting on my lap & a lucky tortoise who never has to worry about fleas.

I have respect for all life on this planet except flease. if fleas were driven to extinction I'd have a nice pint to celebrate.

Im thinking I should wear flea collARs on my ankles.
