#1 seems to be Flowering Kale, after all it is really a vegetable
#2 most herbs
#3 Dianthus or Carnations - close second favorite
#4 new grass
#5 Bamboo -new plants mainly
#6 Roses..all the bottom leaves reachable from the ground ( some say they won't eat roses but they do.)
#7 Pansies (not a favorite but if they don't eat it they will scratch it up..since pansies have shallow roots.)

They seem to leave most shrubs alone if well fed. They don't eat most succulents or cactus, dusty miller, true geraniums, lavender, cannas, citrus plants, and mine don't seem to like snapdragon..so I plant a lot of snapdragons..

The pretty much eat all vegetable plants except the tomato plant but they eat the fruit when ripe .. usually they peck a bite in each tomato and the fruit spoils on the vine..so forget vegetables where chickens roam freely..especially greens and cabbage family.

My chickens didn't get the memo on tomatoes. They eat the plants, green fruit, ripe fruit right down to the vine.

My girls LOVE my blueberries. They have eaten just about all of the berries off of my new bushes.
