[Kale the Quail]

A crow flew up to her. There goes my breakfast. Starlight thought ruefully as the song bird flew away in fright. "yes?" Starlight asked.

 

[LittleBigBantam]

Tyler swooped down and snatched the song bird, breaking its neck, then letting it drop down the ground "I'm just bored.... and hungry" she said happily

 

[Kale the Quail]

"that was my bird." Starlight pointed out. "never mind. You caught it anyways." she grinned at the crow.

 

[LittleBigBantam]

"Oh I saw you stalking it, but you didnt get it quick enough.... now eat it before I change my mind" Tyler croaked, eyeing the young fox

 

[Kale the Quail]

Starlight nodded and gulped it down. "thanks." she said, wiping feathers away from her mouth.

Chester the mouse scurried from his comfortable bedroom chamber to the storage room. "We're running low on provisions," he said thoughtfully. "I need to go collect some more, or the children will go hungry." He stepped over to the tunnel entrance, and sniffed the forest air. It was thick with the scent of predators, but Chester had no choice. There was a good nut tree not too far away, and several trips back and forth should satisfy the need for several days' worth of food.
"I'm going out to forage," Chester called into the tunnel. Then he timidly stepped out into the open, and darted for the nearest rocky fissure.

*Bark, the owl, continued sleeping in his dead tree.*

Starlight nodded to the crow and continued on her way, looking for more food.

Starlight spotted a berry bush and picked the berries off with her teeth.

Rose paced through the forest, bored. Her feet quietly tapped against the ground as she walked.
