‘ Interesting. And what are you doing in my territory?’ Rose asked, still licking her coat."I haven't seen you around either. I'm Starlight." Starlight told the bobcat.
‘ This has been my territory since before you were born kid. Now scram before I get fox blood all over me.’ Rose growled."your territory?" Starlight asked, "you just, divided the forest? like, 'la la la, oh hey, this is my territory.' and, 'oh hey, what are you doing on my territory.'?"
(I have to go.)
Chester, sensing no predators at present, sighed in relief. He scouted out the next good hiding place, a crevice between two protruding tree roots. Making sure there were no crunchy leaves or sticks in his path, he took a deep breath and dove forward. "Alright," he thought, after he had reached the tree roots. "Only a few more runs to go."Chester the mouse scurried from his comfortable bedroom chamber to the storage room. "We're running low on provisions," he said thoughtfully. "I need to go collect some more, or the children will go hungry." He stepped over to the tunnel entrance, and sniffed the forest air. It was thick with the scent of predators, but Chester had no choice. There was a good nut tree not too far away, and several trips back and forth should satisfy the need for several days' worth of food.
"I'm going out to forage," Chester called into the tunnel. Then he timidly stepped out into the open, and darted for the nearest rocky fissure.
"I'm a good fighter." Starlight said, her smile fading and turning into a frown, "Where's the edge of your territory? If you want me to leave I have to know where not to go."‘ This has been my territory since before you were born kid. Now scram before I get fox blood all over me.’ Rose growled.
( Bye!)
‘ I mark my territory daily, so you should know when you’ve left.’ Rose growled."I'm a good fighter." Starlight said, her smile fading and turning into a frown, "Where's the edge of your territory? If you want me to leave I have to know where not to go."
