My silver spitzhauben chicken, has a protruding umbilical area. Not sure if it will make it. My other maran egg covered it hole and must of suffocated itself. I'm very happy the deathlayer hatched. I'm super excited for it. No idea what to do with the silver spitzhauben, I left in the incubator hoping it will stop bleeding and dry up.

Sadly my pavlovskaya died. It pipped away from the air cell and drowned during hatch. I tried everything I could to help. Would of been stunning, all white. Very sad to see...

I did however get a beautiful blue Maran and a cream legbar. Which I strongly suggest a rooster by the down color. Lol
I'm so sorry. :hugs :hugs That's sad. 😥

I'm reading on going to see pictures of the others.

My silver spitzhauben seems to be doing alright! It's navel area stabbed over. I only put a bit of neosporin on it the day it hatched. Just to help keep bacteria at bay. I don't really want to put any on it now since it's dry. Next couple weeks will be critical for it! Aside from it's broken bum, it's eating and running about like a normal chick!

I'm proud of my silkies! 🥰 They have been throwing some nice babies for me. This fall, I'll probably rehome a handful of my girls, or at least move them to a new coop. I've kept back some very lovely chicks, I'll replace them with. That's the point of breeding right, to breed for a better bird? I have 12 silkie chicks right now. Only 4 have been tagged to keep.
