I was just thinking, Did you include a hole to run the plug for the heat plate to come out?I used to use a heat lamp. But since it burned out, I'm going to replace it with a more reliable/safer heat. So probably a heat plate.

Yes! I did make sure I had ways to run cords!I was just thinking, Did you include a hole to run the plug for the heat plate to come out?
So smart. I always forget that I might need electricity when build something like that.Yes! I did make sure I had ways to run cords!

My whole life is full of sh!+s and giggles! It really is fun isn't it.![]()
If I could make a suggestion, these heat plates are perfect. The chicks go in when cold and come out when warmed up, just like their mom. They sleep under it, just like their mom. You can raise it higher as they grow up.Since I've slapped together a brooder. I'm thinking of heat sources... I don't want to go heat lamp route. I'm thinking about trying the mamma heater method. So I'm going to order a heating pad today. But what should I do for a frame or even hang with some high tensile wire? Like a old school, tarp tent? But lower? Hmmmmlet me drink some coffee and think about this. Yeah I'm and all day coffee guzzler. I'd be lost without my cup o joe!
