I've never planted garlic. I assume it grows like onions?I got a nice head of black garlic from my grandpa, who has been growing it for well over 15 yrs, this past winter. So I planted a handful of the smaller cloves back in February and got a few nice small heads back. The majority will be planted in the fall for next year harvest. Not bad for me planting it late in the season.

This was my first time planting garlic. Oddly enough! Lol I'm a huge plant person, and a huge galic user. I have no clue why I didn't plant it sooner. But my grand pap has very particular instructions for the garlic. Plant in the fall, mulch, and leaves piled over it, cover over with tarp or netting to hold leaves in place over the winter. By spring you should have shoots growing. Since I planted my in late February. It didnt get as big as it should of!I've never planted garlic. I assume it grows like onions?
Thank you!Your birds look wonderful!
I also found green glass canisters with roosters on one side and sun on the other. Prob from the 70s? I can't remember who makes them. But they are one of my favorites!I love them. I would love to have something like that. Very nice.
