Is it alegal to shoot Hawks? You can kill snakes is they're threading you our live stock, can you do the same with them?

Hawks are protected. Can't kill them or trap them. I wouldn't want to anyways.

On a very very sad note... I lost my blue polish to a hawk couple days ago. It's been a hard year on my flock. The hawks have proved to be a real daily problem here. I've done everything I can to deter them away. Which there is only so much you can do when you free range.....

A bold eagle tried to eat one of my little bantams.

Blondie
Blondie is a beautiful EE hen. She lays some very pretty darker green eggs. I love her. But she is flighty some times. She hatches some beautiful chicks, but they are extremely feral acting. Great layers, but nutty birds.

One of my EEs looks like her, but darker. My granddaughter named her rocky road at first, but now she's called fire ball. Reminds me off fire flames.

I have an eagle sized hawk lol we do have eagle down river a little from me. So I wouldn't be surprised to see them here, I do live right along the ohio river! I actually seen a pair flying over my house, last spring. We also have osprey too
