The Fricken Chicken story!

Falkor is usually a gentleman. As gentle as any large rooster can be, with a little hen 🤷‍♀️ he has never been a rough rooster to any of his ladies. His son, Fritzy is half Falkor size, and he is rougher on them. Maybe because Falkor has always intermingled with a mix flock of standards and bantam hens. So to answer your question, no. I dont typically worry about him and his wee lady friends.

Oh, okay. My boy seems to be a bit rough, but I don't know if that's just the way he is, or if it's because he still doesn't quite know what he's doing. He has trouble actually staying on the hen once he's on top, lol.

It's been survival of the fittest here. Lost my 2 paints, I think mom stepped on them. So I decided to just remove the cage and let mom do her thing within the flock. Its been cold, and snowed for days. Now it's going to drop temps again. But these two have figure life out!

I'm sorry for you losses. :hugs I know that's the way but it still can't be easy.

Sorry about your chicks. There dad looks very proud of his chicks.
You know he is proud and protective over them. He bites me when I pick them up 🤷‍♀️🤣 not that his fluffy butt can do much. But still, little booger lol the flock just acts like they are one with the group. I have a whole dozen silkie eggs im tempted to throw in my incubator....
