My cousin named her that.My little chicken that waddle is kind of skinny and with single digits and negatives I didn't know if she could survive it. Anyway... My little chicken snuggles with her and let's Rebecca kiss her on the beak.
She’s getting two bottles at once now, two or three times a day. Lettuce leaves, and she forages outside when I’m out doing chores, and nibbles her texture more often. Still likes pasta, but only with red sauce... no Alfredo. Loves bread crusts and almost everything we eat
is mostly leaving the catfood alone finally. She hates cinnamon buns, and being left alone at any time unless she is in our truck. I think/hope we can start weaning her soon? We are almost out of milk replacer. @Egg Snatcher probably knows better. Clearly, I have no idea what we are doing here. Just winging it and hoping for the best. That’s good, when I found Arduinna she was already dry and active, so I’m guessing she got colostrum and enough feeding to tide her over between her mom’s unfortunate end and me getting some milk into her.
She looks like she is thriving to me. For someone who is making this up as you go you are doing great.
