The Front Porch Swing

Other Mary, wow what discipline and yet, you attack "survival supplies" in a fridge or elsewhere!

I used to be very disciplined - as in eat one potato chip. I think I was 16. A doctor told me to ease up - well moderation is not in my vocabulary - so I went in the opposite direction.

I have to rehome loads of plants - OFTEN - I find it's easier when they aren't blooming so they can't see me "dump" them. Maybe you could blindfold the chickens you need to let go - it would be easier on you. Or maybe best if YOU wear the blindfold. Don't listen to me, I haven't had anything to eat yet.

Diva, Maybe you should get one of those mini-fridges for next time. You could stock it will all the essentials....like water and chocolate.

That was awesome Notafarm!

Ditto!! I like your method of summarizing!! If I had the space, there are about 10 breeds I would want to have, but, alas, space is lacking, so I have to keep it down to 2 or 3, so I've decided to keep a variety of hens in my laying flock so that I can still enjoy those "other" breeds, and work on the other 2 or 3 for breeding... we'll see how it goes this next year, there won't be nearly as much craziness (chicken wise) around here!! (I hope anyway, lol)

I hope it helps! I have limited space, budget and DH tolerance to deal with, not to mention time, so keeping things manageable is key for me..........and as for you, Diva....

:frow Welcome back, Mesha!

I just had a nice long (interrupted) chat with Ann (flocksalot). :D

It was a very nice chat indeed!

Been down with the flu for the rest of the week. Yuck!

I vaguely remember the storms blowing through. Guess I better see if there are any trees down that need to be removed. Glad everyone else made it through.

Happy almost birthday flicks!

So glad you are better!

Thanks, but not until the 23rd do I become a whole century old! Meh, doesn't seem any different than the others except I'm just that much slower. But then it makes it just that much easier for things to catch me!

My son comes home on my birthday. He told my parents he had to be home in case there was cake! And who bloody well is gonna make that cake I wonder!
