The Front Porch Swing

The sawsall is a great equalizer for women, which is probably why most men do not prefer it...it allows us to do some tough cutting with a lightweight tool that doesn't evoke fear...it's nothing more than a hacksaw with power behind it.

It's cheap, the blades are cheap, it's versatile and it's safer than any other power tool I've used except for a power drill. I can cut through cattle legs, deer legs, fencing, wood, metal and even some stone for around $20 and the tool just doesn't have any quit in it. I've not broken one yet, whereas I consider most circular saws as disposable..that's how long they last, so I never invest big money in them any longer due to their short life.
AHH! I've used one of those thingies!! They are awesome! I made a 2-hen nest box for my hens using one of those and some wood scraps! They're called the noisy portable saw thingies.

I'm hopeless.

You gotta be smarter than the box.  I am a computer field service technician, and have to unpack and install a lot of equipment.  Sometimes it's hard to figure out how to get it OUT of the box. :)

That's true too, then once you get it out slim chance it will go back in. Amazing!

I'm hopeless.

Hey! I have one of those, too! Great for nesting boxes and brooder boxes and making feeders and ... oh, everything. I found it In the kitchen cupboards. That and the cordless drill I found in the same spot were the only tools my ex didn't cut through the cord of with that scary loud spinny serious saw thingy. You'd think he'd learn the first time. Unteachable, that one.

Quote: LOL.... Not me.... never. Most computer packaging is done in Taiwan and China.... injection molding too. Why I havent been able to find a decent job in the US.... sigh.

My computer stuff was for HUGE server farms.... for Telecommunications basically for cell phone processing. Most went into Cell Tower control rooms. They have to have alot of space in them to allow AC to keep them cooled. I designed the racks too. Vents on bottom and AC on top.... of each one. Heat is your enemy with integrated circuits.... the next enemy is Electromagnetic interference.... All that was done in the early 90s Back when "bricks" were still around,

Outside working on the garden, get hot (82 out there right now) so come in for water and of course BYC surfing, should have it pretty much ready to go by the end of the day.

Its been running that for the past couple of days here.... Cool cool mornings building up to midday and peaking at low 80s and ramping back down.... finally normal weather for February. We have some rain coming too according to the forecasts... We need many many days of very light rain before we get some signifigant rain..... Or It will wash all the houses out of the hills.

funny thing about the ground needing moisture before it will absorb moisture..... Or it just runs off like the whole land was scotch guarded.

Yes, moisture before moisture. Neighbors thought I was crazy for watering the new grass seeding when I could see it was going to start to rain. We live on top of the ridge in the high mountain desert, so I needed to moisten the mulch and soil a bit so the peat and compost in the soil was ready to grab as much rainfall as it could without washing away.
