The Front Porch Swing

I wouldn't daaare do that!!! hahahahaha I use to peek out the door then try to make it to the mailbox and back before a car would come by. Sometimes a car pops up out of nowhere and I have to hide behind the truck. LOL THEN they come out with this Google Earth and all that crap!!! Have y'all ever checked out that GPS thing where you can do the "walking" part? You can walk right by houses and see the house, people, whatever. It you meet a car on the road you can look right at the person. AND NOBODY WAS AROUND, DANG SATELLITES TOOK THE PICS! You can't even pee out on the back forty without the fear of somebody in China watching now!

When I get my back 40, I will pee where ever I want. I am old, I don't think they will look long........... :)

My DH will just

I've checked our place on Google....it can't even show our house for all the trees!  :gig   Personally, I would LOVE for anyone nosy enough to search my place on satellite to get a big ol' shot of my fat bum on their screens as I take a pee outside!  Serves 'em right.  :D

Sometimes a person just feels that primal urge to squat and pee outside and I just don't know how town and city folk get through their lives without fulfilling that urge.  :caf

You and me both. I don't have time to run to the house every time this old bladder gets empty. :)

Same folks that will tell you that you can't feed your chickens their own egg shells without first cooking them to sterilize them so you won't feed salmonella to your chickens.....

If your ducks have that much of an overload on salmonella in their feces, you have bigger issues than using their water in the garden.

Some folks say you can't feed your chickens their own eggs shells even if the shells have been cooked to "sterilize" them because the germie things in the eggs are that toxic.

Hi, Just me, some random thoughts, first hope every one is great today. [I know some aren't, I'm so sorry]
Didn't see the guy with video of ducks but know about ducks so can well imagine. YUK!

I too and not afraid of critters at night at all, just the 2 legged kind, now THEY scare me.
But I have two dogs who go with me everywhere and of course the guns.
Google earth is a life saver around here and I love it, did you see where it had pics of a dead body by the RR tracks and the boys father saw it and sued them?
They had no idea you could even see him and there he was for much longer than it should have showed.

NOW, one more thing, the thing I wanted most to say. Someone mentioned about being refreshed, with tea I think, and Bee replied that that was a good word...refresh.
Made my mind go immediately to the scriptures and I spend some time looking up and reading every verse that had "refresh" in it.
I spend too much time on BYC and feel quilty, but I do love it! And specially love this Porch.
And YOU!
So this is how I justify spending time on computer, looking for the "nuggets" that send me to the Bible.
It's a great thing, exercises your mind, gets you into Gods Word,
helps you find scriptures you might not have thought of and it just brings me joy. There fore it has become a "thing" for me.
Please excuse the disjointed thoughts, just wanted to share that last little bit with you.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

I don't know either way, except I used to feed them back to them after microwaving them.....BUT I don't anymore, it is cheap to buy oyster shell, and I don't want to teach the little darlings to eat EGGS!!!!

I must be doin' it ALL wrong then. I toss them egg shells right in the run......nothing different or "improved" with them. I don't even rinse them out.
Of course, I have had any of the issues with my flock as so many others I read about. I feed 'em,water 'em, and let them be chickens.
They play in the dirt, find bugs, eat frogs, ......and I ignore 'em.
