The Front Porch Swing

Where I live there are a couple places that rent out poultry processing equipment. Everything for about $100/weekend. Cones, scalder, plucker, tables, cooling vats. One place all that stuff is set up on a trailer.

I have my eye on a turkey plucker, but it costs $1,725.00 so I don't suppose I'll ever be getting that.

Maybe I'll get this instead ...

Ouch! That turkey plucker tain't cheap! That other package is more my price range. lol I was looking at the Whiz Bang Chicken Plucker on YouTube this morning. They don't look that hard to make for anybody that is a little bit "mechanical".

I've slept with my windows open the past two nights. It makes the nightly crowing chorus a lot more obvious. It's dark guys ... shhhhhhhh!

There is a security light that shines too close to my roo pen so I guess they think it's always daytime. It's not constant but real often they crow - 24/7.

I DO!!!!! I am on strict orders (self imposed( to not get more poults until I've eaten all the turkey currently in storage. Chomp, chomp.

I won't be needing the turkey plucker for quite a while.

I think you should smoke it and send it to The Porch....we would love to relieve you of your turkey infestation and it's just neighborly to help someone in need. I think I can force myself to eat it...just out of neighborliness, you understand.

@Bee... I really like the coffin idea. Really like the idea of using it until it's needed. I hope to never need a coffin - hope to rapture on outta here!!! :)

I haven't been to their website. If I can just find out how it works and show the boyfriend he can build one. Knowing him he will want to hook it up to a Chevy! Vrooom vroooom! hahahahaha

I've got feathers blown across my front yard from the rooster I killed yesterday. I need to be a little neater with that job. LOL
