Yeah my girls worked over my poor roo. They pulled all his tail feathers out except about 3 and he's plum pitiful looking. :( Been letting them free range for 3 days and with the bare skin it's getting a little red from the sunshine. Was wondering what I could put on it if it got any worse looking. Today it actually looked better but don't want the red attracting them to his bare skin. I had thought about putting some of the C O on there but was worried it being oil it might make him blister even worse.

Go to the feed store and get him some Blue coat. It will help with any broken skin plus dye his red skin blue.... They completely leave it alone when it doesnt look red.... just be careful what ever blue coat gets on gets turned BLUE and it wil stay blue till it wears off.

No, it won't. Go ahead and put on the CO. I've never heard of hens pulling out a rooster's feathers...that's crazy! Have you checked these birds under a bright light at night? Could be something else going on here...I'd be looking for mites/lice.
