That's pretty big still....I love how they look!  Could be that you could sell your extras in a special 2 doz. egg offer to your customers so they could have an egg basket of their own to display their farm fresh eggs.  A "gift basket"...long about Easter I bet that would be a real hit.  Folks could buy them for their friends as a gift.  They have nifty shrink wrap bags you can get to place over gift baskets to complete the "look" of a gift basket.  Maybe a little stuffed chick in amongst the eggs and a colored raffia bow on top.  Cha-ching!  Fifteen dollar egg baskets!

I see it now... a little real grassy grass hay in the basket (or some of that fake stuff), 2 dozen eggs (Easter Egger, brown and white), a stuffed chick or bunny, chocolates scattered about, a small bible and tract, maaaybe a copy of the Jesus film, shrink wrapped, balloon attached... $25!!!

I was thinking to do some kind of "gift baskets" in them ... ingredients for pound cake or something (for eggs that have been washed so are refrigerated). I love the idea of delivering unwashed eggs in the "Display Baskets." If I put two dozen eggs in each basket it isn't that much more than paper cartons. And the baskets are washable, which is an advantage over paper cartons.

I need to find the shrink wrap bags ... I've never heard of such a thing. :)

A crafty person could really have fun with this.

My baskets look just like the ones pictured, except in pink, green, blue, yellow. Red and green from Christmas sale at Dollar General.

Excellent. :D I didn't get to specify colors when I ordered online. Easter colors would be swell!

The colors I have could make such a "green" statement at a farmers market ...

I've been using a wast-paper basket sized version of this same basket material, also bought at Dollar Tree, for washing the eggs. I can spray them from all sides, which saves some hand scrubbing. The baskets aren't super sturdy so don't last forever -- the first pair I got are starting to rust through at the bottom. But you sure can't beat the price. Ordering online and having them delivered to the nearest store instead of my house got me free shipping.

I'd still like to have some "real" egg collection baskets that will last for years and years ... when my ship comes in.
