Thanks.. it is all God's doing. I had a problem I couldn't fix and I guess He was waiting on me to stop trying so hard and just ask Him to fix it. I guess that is the same thing we do with kids... watch them struggle for a bit until they give up and ask us for help.

Hi! I am from Kansas, known lately as the weird weather state! I have lived in Washington, and love the Pacific Northwest, too, but Kansas has my heart. Yesterday it was 72, and this morning the wind chill is 12. Freaky!

I have a small, pampered flock, and am big on recycling and repurposing. I would love to be better at DIY, but I squeak by on simple things!

I love this pic....very much all about old farms and brings back memories of my granny's farm where all the barns and buildings were that silvered, weathered old wood, as well as all the fenceposts.

Pull up a chair and sit a spell....listen to Blooie's stories but don't have a drink in your mouth. We've been cleaning up the spewed sweet tea but the floor still seems a little tacky from it all...starting to attract sweet ants!

Somebody started a thread the other night for people to put up their poems. My contribution:

I went into the feed store
Just to buy a bag of starter,
I knew there'd be new chicks inside
So today it would be harder.

I walked right past the brooder boxes
Looked neither left nor right,
I heard the little chickies peep
And vowed I'd avoid the sight.

After paying for my order,
And heading for the door,
I opted just to take a peek,
A quick look - nothing more.

So here I sit in my orange suit,
Waiting my case on the docket-
How the heck do you suppose
Those chicks got in my pocket?
