I sure hope it is a joke. But after reading some posts on this site, I am a firm believer that not every one should own chickens.........or any other animal for that matter.......

Central Ohio! I could really go for some crawdads and dirty rice right now. Come on up and join me in the kitchen. When I'm not hatching chicks my kitchen is my favorite place

I set 20 eggs that were due to hatch yesterday.At one point my temperature dropped to 85 and I thought I had lost them,but had two out by this morning and two more today. one more is almost completely zipped and two more have started pipping. I will wait a day to see if some more will hatch. The peeping from the ones I moved to the brooder is driving my kitten nuts. We need to lock them in the guest bathroom tonight so we can all get some sleep.

Well, I didn't see the huskies here while I was outside with the gun. So, since I already had the gun out and loaded, I decided to shoot a little. This is only the second time I have ever shot a gun.... I was about 40 yards away.
