Wow...you girls have been solving the world's problems today! I am so proud of you all that you can have a level-headed, normal discourse about such a sensitive subject. I am so thankful to the Lord that so many of you have compassion, wisdom and faith in the Lord enough to be able to teach without frustration or heaviness in your views and speech. In short, I love you all so much for the wonderful fellowship you provide and how you are able to put yourself aside to help others and to preserve the integrity of this thread. Thank you and I thank the good Lord!

I am not hearing anything when she breathes, but she is keeping her mouth open.  She stands up, but her gait is wobbly.  She does seem a little more alert than when I first brought her in.  Here is another video that shows where her wounds are... I had already put Nustock on them though.  They really look alot like road-rash.   I'm sorry to ask for help here, but I would rather have your all's opinions rather than creating a thread and having everyone tell me to use a bunch of medications and stuff on her.  I will probably give her until tomorrow and see if she improves.  If not, I'll have to go ahead and cull.  Its a shame because she is just old enough to start laying, but we haven't gotten an egg from her yet.

Lindz... one thing that I learned the hard way... I had a bird attacked by my dog like that but I didn't even find any wounds on her. She was all stressed like that and probably went through shock if that's what it is. A little while later (maybe a week or two) that bird came down with cocci, I guess because of the shock to her system. If she pulls through I would keep her separated for a while to watch for cocci. If you put her back with your flock watch all of them for cocci. But cocci is not as bad as it sounds. You can treat it and most should pull through fine.

...I was not done when I pushed that button! I was going to say all of mine pulled through and are healthy and fine.

Here is a video of her breathing funny.... I had her out of the cage putting Nustock on the abrasions and she climbed on the bar of a shelf we hadn't gotten hung up, to roost.... Not sure what else to do.... I also had to bring another hen in because she was wet, muddy and missing a bunch of feathers.

Poor little sugar is in shock. Do you have some NutriDrench? 1/2 cc to a qt of water and let her drink it.

Bahahahahaha Thank God I retired 4 yrs ago. It was the most rewarding job ever. I was kind of the trouble shooter for minor violations. Mostly people just wanted to tell their side of the story. One of the girls on La-Peepers thread said she HATES huggers. I told her I was guilty because I do it a lot. At least 10 or so people a day would be so happy that I helped them feel better (even if I couldn't fix the problem) they would give me a hug. One day an older gent came in and I helped him. He reached out so I hugged him. Then I realized he was planning on shaking my hand. (Still get a red face when I think of it ha)

Besides if the government thinks they own the birds then they owe me for all that chicken i bought to feed THEIR bird.

Which explains why i don't shoot coyotes or deer or anything, my vet bill would be too high

Plus I pick up stray dogs and cats..have 5 large dogs right now.
