You just did! Welcome to the Porch...I'm Blooie - usually worthless but so adorable they let me stay anyway! So if I want to join in the discussion, what do I do?
Up here in Northern Wyoming, not far from Yellowstone (for whoever said they were going to be my neck of the woods on vacation this year - hint hint) and we are under a winter storm watch for this weekend. Not usually like this, I swear - we are a desert and as such we usually get very little moisture winter or summer. This is the first time in our 17 or 18 years here we've actually used a shovel - we usually just sweep the snow off. But this year for some reason......Where are you again? Snow? It's practically summer down here. And no I still don't have my garden planted. It'll be a LATE spring garden and a fall garden.
There's a breed and gender forum on here....they can usually help. One of us here might be able to help too. (Well, not me - I didn't know a Buff Orpington from a Red Sex Link rooster, remember?) To post a photo, click on the little photo icon up there on the top of the box where you type your message, then browse your folder to find the ones you want, click them, and a little box pops up. After the files load, click submit. Easy peasy. Only took me 8 tries the first time. <sigh>So if I wanted to post a photo to ask what breed or gender is this does anyone know how I would do that?
Hello, then! I'm from CA, and I've only got 7 chooks. I'm a chicken research addict...![]()
You DID it!! And I have no clue, but she shore is purty!
Okay here's me experimenting. If the photo works this is Vanessa, I always thought she was a buff Orpington but she doesn't look at all like others i see on this site. Chicks aren't a clue because I tucked the neighbour's eggs under her: light Sussex and Rhode Island Red ROOSTERS it turned out, just my luck!
