The Front Porch Swing

Am I turning stubborn? Maybe that's why I'm not really interested in change, haha! When Dad and I went to go pick up those Muscovy hatching eggs in Natalia, TX, we saw the water-nipple system they had for the chicks (elevated bucket that connected to a PVC pipe that went through all the small cages that were lined up. A single pipe watered at least ten feet of cages), he was so impressed and wanted to put it in all the coops. I admitted it was good but not so much for the main coop where no one really hung out. But then again, Dad does things without even telling me, so we'll see how it goes. I personally just don't see it being of any use for the larger birds considering they are almost never locked up in the coop other than at night.

Awful young to be set in yer ways already.

Might keep you from enjoying a lot of things in life if you get stuck in a rut at such a young age.

So glad you could make it! Can you smell the honeysuckle?

I've been having up and down with not having a Job since Feb and first time in my life going for an interview last month and not getting the Job despite interview going so well.(I do believe God has a purpose for everything) I have become content with the way things are I probably would not have accomplished so much that I have around the house if I had a Job. Today started well with joy in my heart, then this afternoon for no reason I started feeling low....then a surprise call from unknown number, this Lady from a church I visited once my friend had invited was just calling to check on me and wanted to know how she can pray for me....(God must have sent her so I could know he was still watching over me)

Since that time I've done more stuff around the house listening to praise songs....Count your blessings name them one by one - I am blessed thank you Lord having a job or not.
The one song that has lifted me up is He knows my name .... I can't even start to explain the Joy that I am now feeling and I had to share...

may you have Joy in your life now and forever.

ps. I have another interview this thursday

I love this post!!! I have spent the last several years adding gratitude to my worship life and it just seems to seed a field of joy and peace in my heart...it's like walking on sunshine all day long. And then I found a verse that explained why that is so and it just made me want to thank Him even more!

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I'm hoping your interview is a success and you will be working where the Lord leads you.

Hey Bee, how do you plant the clover between your rows? Do you use something or just spread it with your hand?

I've done both, but I seem to have more control over it if broadcast it by hand.

I have been looking for a way for me to easily move myself, my boyfriend, my animals, and my other stuff from SC to WV. Ha, ha I have moved too many times to know there is no easy way to do this.......

But, my son has bought me a 10 year old FEMA trailer that I can park on my Mom's property until I can buy a piece of property to call home!

I am soooooooo excited! Now all I have to do is get the proper health papers for cat, dogs, horse and chickens. Transfer to a store in that area (wal~mart) and hit the road!

But first comes the yard sale so I can relieve my self of a bunch of 'stuff' the I do NOT need/want to pack up and drag along.

My son says he is going to send me pics. Did I say I am excited???????

I'm excited for you!!! Where abouts in the state will you be moving? I hope it's close to me.

I know you told me once but my mind is like a sieve nowadays and I cannot seem to retain anything for long.

Blooie I am so excited it went right over my head! I can't think of a thing that would kill my excitement!

I am so glad you are back home and Linda is doing so well!

Who wouldn't be excited about moving back to WV??

Spent the day in town buying stock in Lowe's and other places. Came home to unload 760 lbs of lime, fertilizer and feed...by my lonesome. Needless to say, I'm now sitting on an ice pack and feeling exactly double my age.

Hope to finish out the garden prep tomorrow...YAY!....while Mom gets lime, seed and fertilizer spread on the lawn and meadow. Then the rest of the day will be spent in various chores to work on the list we have for things to accomplish before June~it's quite a list!

After all that is done? I'm going to be doing some fishin' this summer...just draggin' a line and talking to the Lord.

I am not sure yet Bee, choice of three places......Shenandoah County VA, Hardy Co WV or south of Pittsburg PA ...... All of them are close to you I think. Exactly where are you now?

Choose Hardy County so I can come visit you when I visit my Dad in Pendleton!

Cost of living is less and they have a new 4 lane that will shoot you right over to Harrisonburg, VA, anytime you like. Pretty, pretty places in Hardy County and there's a really nice church over there out past the Walmart called Oldfields Baptist...nice folks and they have a food ministry that is excellent.

I'm now living near Parkersburg but I'm up in that area every month and I love the back road over to Moorefield, both scenic and fast..a real pleasure to drive it. The Walmart in Hardy County has one of the best views in the whole county.....a huge valley ringed by even more huge mountains. It's like living in Big Sky country. It's my favorite Walmart ever and has a nice movie theater right behind it, alongside a bowling alley. They also have the livestock sales there, so always something interesting to see or do if you are a country folk.

Hardy couny is my first choice for so many reasons. I lived there for about 12 years. I think of it as civilization without the hassles of civilization.
I would love to be where I can't hear the interstate, emergency sirens and train whistles all hours of the night.
The farm I lived on before my divorce was very secluded. The kids could run around outside and play in the nude. We heard vehicles long before they could see us.

Don't worry I plan to visit you when I get back there. It is on my bucket list. :)

I'm so glad it's first on your list and you are familiar with it....isn't it so lovely over there by the Walmart? I could sit in that parking lot and look for hours at those mountains in the distance. I'll visit YOU....any excuse to drive over there is a good one but to meet someone so wonderful as yourself is a huge bonus indeed! Where I live looks as ugly as a mudrail fence compared to Hardy County.

I think the Old Fields area is beautiful, just up the road from wal~mart.

But where I would love to be is some around the base of the mountain below Wolfe Gap. Real near the VA line. I do not think commercialism will be there any time soon. I am not a person who has to run to 7-11 twice a day. I know how to shop once a month :) A goat or two for milk, chickens for eggs and meat stops a lot of trips to the store.

Take me home country roads :)
