The Front Porch Swing

Oh, she is the prettiest little thing, crying or smiling!

I know it! I am going to be in so much trouble with her, she's so pretty and I think she's going to be a total girly girl and a diva (I was a tomboy... so uh.. yeah. Uncharted territory). She knows just how to bat those lashes too.

Her brother loves it. Johnathan is AAALL about pretty girl stuff. He loves bracelets and necklaces.

She is a cutie. I was so worried I would have a girly girl, I didn't think about the other option.... A boy who loves girly girls! My son loves all the super girly girls. I'm like, dude I'm showing you low maintenance here! I can't (yup I said CANT!) do makup for the life of me. Te maybe three times a year I put on mascara and some stuff he's always like "mommy your a princess you look beautiful like a princess!" He would totally love it if I would wear dresses or skirts. It's so silly.

Johnathan asked for a sister time and time again. Third try was a charm. He has Thomas and another brother at his mom's house. His mom can't have any more kids and we're done for sure.. so he's lucky he got his desired baby sis.

All the little girls at school love that boy

(and most boys like him too) He's not 'yucky' like some boys, I guess. They're always chasing him.

He's all boy too, he loves explosions and monster trucks and anything fast and loud. And pretty girls. Thomas too. He loooves pretty ladies, but full grown ones, he doesn't really notice girls too much. He likes curvy girls with long hair (if he sees a picture of one he'll have a staring contest with it).

Haha! So funny. I hear you. My son is totally a boy and has the typical playing in mud, loves tools and dinosaurs (don't get me started on his dinoaur obsession) and climbing everything, then loves the girly girls! At his old preschool one of the teachers aids (she was super sweet) was like a Barbie doll with makeup and bleached hair. Gabe loved her! But for the most part he seems to really like dark hair. My husband has a friend with five kids, four girls, they all are beautiful and the youngest is pretty girly and thy all have gorgeous dark black hair. He loves going over there! Or when one of the older girls babysits. When he is older I'll have to sit down with him and add up the cost of makup and trips to the beauty parlor so I won't end up with a Barbie doll daughter in law! Lol.

Hi All. Been a while for me, but I have been watching the thread. Creepy, maybe, but I tend to have more time to read than think and type up anything that actually makes sense. Going to try to jump in here a bit more often.

Have something you all might get a kick out of. I have a pair of LF cochins, one blue and one splash. It was only appropriate to name them Elsa (splash) and Anna (blue) after the sisters in Disney's Frozen. Well, weather has been getting colder here. High of 36* today, and snow flurries the past few days. Guess who has decided to go broody. Yup. The Ice Queen herself, Elsa. Who goes broody when it is snowing out? Crazy girl. I thought about telling her to "Let it go" but I think that would just encourage her.

All I got.
