The Front Porch Swing

This tree is giving me fits. I finally got the LED lights on the tree and now I don't like them. They're like headlights.

I wanted those dang things for like 5 years. I'm going back to my old standby mini multi lights. LOL

I have the cool white LEDs I weave them in so it looks like starlight in the tree. We don't do rainbow color lights. I also have non traditional colors orange turquoise and lime green for the ornaments it picks up the blue in the lights

I got it. String them in the coop and start at 3am. That'll wake them up ready to lay.

Cut a cross in a ping pong ball and fit it over it. Makes the prettiest lanterns ever. I surely need to do something. I'm getting one egg out of 8 hens and in the other coop, the seven pullets never started laying. Feeding for the winter for FREE. I think I'm going to start processing the rescue Cobb 500's. So much work and they are enormous. Too much hassle in a non movable coop. Besides I need it for the next batch coming early spring. I got eggs coming soon for EO Marraduna Basques. and I'm hoping to get eggs in Feb for Lavender Australorps. I missed on getting my Blosl rooster White Rock. I didn't have the car available so we rescheduled until later.
I'm in a quandry about what to do to make my family healthier. They blew me out of the water with my kombucha and kefir. Will not drink either. Then they say they will NEVER eat the homegrown chicken I make so I'm stuck with starting a garden to get them healthy. They will eat the eggs, (if a ever start getting them again).

SIL Clint went to NOLA to go to the private school state football championships. Once again they won. I think this will be 7 rings he has. Ho hum.

He is truly blessed with a passion for football. Breathes it. Aimee and I, not so much.

Key: don't tell them what they're eating/drinking.

I make kefir with lemon, I tell them it's lemonade. No one bothers about it. I made "hamburgers" and my kids ate them up.. they were lentil patties. How would they know it's a homegrown chicken if it's out the freezer? You can't really tell.
