The outdoor lighting is back on. New plugs are installed and until it floods again and wrecks the outlets we should make it through the new year without a repair trip to HD

Johnathan wanted his tree up, so we put it outside. We used to have it in his bedroom but Thomas wont leave it be.

His mom cancelled visitation this weekend so I've been keeping him busy.

We baked cookies yesterday and brought them to some folks in the neighborhood.


I used to make yogurt before Thomas went dairy free. Real easy to do, I have a few different ways of doing it. Last batch I did in the slowcooker and was nice 'n thick. Johnathan is a fiend for water kefir. He loves how fizzy it is. I don't buy soda, so getting a fizzy drink is great in his world

I was taking a good gander at that gorgeous floor too! Your trees are beautiful! We were going to do both of ours today but Ken had to go to Sheridan so Katie came over and she finished Kendra's quilt!

She's decided she really enjoys hand sewing, just like Gramma.

Most important part - the label! She wrote, "Sewn from the heart" then "To Kendra From Katie" and "Christmas 2014". In little letters I added "Katie's very first quilt". I'm so proud of her I could bust!

That personal touch made it just perfect. My friend made a baby blanket for my dd that had her name hand embroidered all the way around the edges. I cried when I saw it. She kept that blanket til she was 12 and then put it away in her special box.

Thanks, all! I'm really proud of her. She decided that Kendra needed a quilt for her wheelchair and car seat, she decided on a pattern, did the work making it, and finished it. She's really something special!
