Marissa teeth chattered as it started to rain slightly, that would be nice, but seeing how i am lost, and my dog is still gone, i don't know if i could, i didn't think rain could be so cold, did you? she asked shivering in her tank top and Capri's that she ahd on. she went under a tree and held took a deep breath trying to concentrate on her thoughts rather than the water dripping off her. she looked across the street to see that boy leave the grocery store across, she hated to admit it, but she needed help. she cursed at herself and ran towards him, maybe he could help her get home. she growled at herself for wanting his help but ran faster instead of turning back. "hey!" she called out to him.

Give me a second John thought, then pulled back to himself, keeping a light touch on Marissa so he wouldn't lose her. He swayed a little and sat down on the floor of his room. He frowned at how weak he felt, realizing that he had probably overextended himself today. Sighing he started searching his neighbors for thoughts of the dog he had seen with her earlier.

Blake turned as somebody yelled at him. Oh no. It was that girl again, probably coming to bully him like all the others. His eyes took on a worried look, and he ran faster towards the building he called home. He sheltered under the unfinished roof, shivering. Well, it looked like he wouldn't get much sleep tonight. He turned around to see that the girl was following him. "What do you want?" he growled.

"look, its not like im happy to see you either, i just need to get home, and im..." she sighed, "lost." Marissa was sanding in the rain getting more wet by the second, her black hair becoming shiny and heavier. she stood there water dripping off her face, waiting for an answer.

"Why do you think that I'll help you? I'm already in my home, and you're ruining my dinner." Blake held up his granola bars and water.
"because somewhere in you there has to be some part that is human." she said, near tears. "look, i lost my dog, my grandma is probably having a heart attack cause im not home yet, which means i might end up in foster care. i just want to go home." she said sobbing the last part, "so im sorry for being mean to you, but please help me." she was crying now. she couldn't hold it in anymore, she was cold, and everything was going wrong.

"You think what you have is bad? I don't have any parents, any family, any friends. This is the closest to a home I have. Trust me, your situation could be a lot worse." But even so, Blake hid the food and water and exited the unfinished building, with its unfinished roof and only one wall. A cloud of blackness solidified and acted as a mini umbrella, one over himself and one over Marissa. "Where do you live?"
