The Geese are Comming!!

I ordered a pair of Roman Tufted geese and a Female Toulouse goose from Metzer Farms to be shipped on May 31, 2010. I am very excited about my geese and took my time picking out my breeds. Any random information a new owner should know?

Congrats!

I just purchased a Gander and 2 Geese, all Toulouse from Metzer Farms. Mine should be here on tuesday if everything goes as planned. I also got 5 Runner ducks and a male and female Jumbo Pekin. now I just have to see if I can get away with all of them in the city!!!!! I guess I'm lucky that my neighbors seem to like me (i'm guessing its the free eggs). Good Luck with the new additions!

Thats the one thing I am wary about the people next-door are new to the area and NOT very nice at all, but they will have adjust for my geese are zoned and my other neighbors are nearly as excited as I am. I have about 7 BEWARE OF THE GEESE signs ready to be posted around my yard....lol

That's too funny, I am getting ready to go purchase all the supplies and feed tomorrow and you reminded me that I need signs as well. if you don't mind me asking, how big of a yard do you have for them to wander in? Mine is pretty big for a city lot but still in the middle of San Diego. However if the Geese get to be too much trouble they are getting shipped out to my Family's house out in the country. I figure either way it works out for them!

I have about 1/4 an acre, a little more but about that. I am slightly worried about the negibors, but think I can reason with them if push-comes-to-shove. I have my brooder supplies and have had them for a month or so, but I am just so excited about them!
