Ray, I cannot PM. It messes up my laptop if I get a PM. So to anyone else, please don't PM me, for the health of my laptop.
What happens= I get PMs, and I'll respond to it, saying I can't PM, and then I click send, it takes forever to load... then my internet shuts off on me, and my laptop stops responding... then I get mad... then I post a topic the next day about it, and I still get PMs.

Okay, people, from what little I've heard of the bill, there's a clause in it that says that ".com, .org, and .net sites will be unaffected."

It's cute and scary that Congress knows so little about the internet, but for people like me who surf at Nico Nico Douga, NicoSound, and various Japanese game sites, if people actually follow that clause, then it'll basically be The Great Firewall of America.

The thing is, this bill can be incredibly dangerous if abused, which is probably what's going to happen. Now I'm not saying this bill is sunshine and kittens, because it's the farthest thing from that, but abuse can go like this:

Say I decide to sell my stories on my own website, "Puellaebibliothicae.net" or something like that. I have a section where I can sell books, a section for a personal blog, and a section for a forum, where people can talk about my books. Let's say someone really dislikes both me and my books, and spams the forum with illegal downloads to popular movies. Since I didn't do enough to stop him, my sites tanks, and so does the downloading site.

Or let's say I post a link to a video of my best friend doing a cover of a song onto said hypothetical blog. The same thing will happen.

Also, the bill is postponed until next year.
