ray's two cents :

Hey everyone!

Gee, I'm so behind with my work, but I don't really care

I've still got a night of TV-watching laziness to get it done in.

The next time I go back to school for "real lessons" (Next Feb) I'm going to be accompanied by a German exchange student.
I'm absolutely terrified. :hmm

Not so terrified about exams anymore... they're in a couple of days' time, starting with physics - physics is a blast!! I'm going to ace this!

(My average mark for physics is only around 80%, but whatever.

Hey.

That's good you're not so freaked out about exams anymore. :3

It's pouring with rain outside. Beautiful weather. My papers are all going to get very, very wet because rain always ends up blowing in under our useless verandah roof.

I'm slightly nervous about my German exam...
...As I don't have a dictionary. That's right, I needed to buy one... where exactly I haven't a clue. Thanks for reminding me. *extracts Google from the corner where he's gathering dust*

That sucks.

I can't find it. The school will only let you take in a certain dictionary but I can't find it on the Dymocks website.

They take exams way too seriously here. They don't let you wear your blazer outside if you need to go to the loo, in case you want to slip cheat notes into your pockets.

it's ridiculous, practically every other item of school uniform has got more pockets than the blazer.

Use an online dictionary!

www.dictionary.com
www.thesaurus.com

I think you misunderstand. These are exams, the type where they think the taking in of an iPod, even a forgotten one in your pocket, counts as cheating and they give you a 0. Imagine walking in with a laptop. That would go down well.

I think you can buy dictionaries in book stores... Would surprise me if there weren't any around you.

Also, is this piece of prose really as horrible as my parents say it is?

FRUSTRATION! I'm thinking of just buying one off a Year 12. My German exam isn't until Thursday, so I've got some time to plan.

PK: It sounds rather Shakespearean to me, which isn't my forte, but I agree. People are always standing too close to me in crowded public areas. I'm shorter than most people. It makes me uncomfortable.
