Honestly I don't know yet. I thought about being a horse racing jockey, but I'm not too interested in being an anorexic just so I can race. Vet came across my mind, as usual, but I don't have the heart to put one to sleep, even if its best for them.

And don't even suggest me being a doctor; I can handle blood and a LOT of other gross stuff, but I'm an emetophobe.

If you really wanna know what that is, look it up...

OK, I will. (Ah, I see. It's not so bad, you could be some other kind of doctor, perhaps specialising in speech or bones or something) Well, you're under no pressure to decide yet. The spontaneity of life is sometimes the fun part :p
I can understand the bit about putting the animal to sleep. That would be hard on me too.

True, and yup

A lot of people think being a vet is all about "saving cute and fuzzy animals" when its not, putting them to sleep is part of the package. I remember when my dog Sonny, a collie who lived to like 13 had to be put to sleep because his arthritis was so bad.

:hugs That sucks. There's the good and the bad to everything, I suppose. Sorry to hear about Sonny.
I've always wanted to have a dog or a cat, but I know they're a LOT more responsibility than chickens, who don't need their poo cleaning or walking or washing.

Cats are fairly clean, though they are high maintenance. If I ever get another dog again its going to be a collie. Right now my family and I have a sheltie whos 5 and STILL isn't housebroken despite how hard we've tried and she barks her head off when she's outside. I can barely keep myself sane with that dog around.

Yerp, I do tend to lean slightly more towards cat - dogs barking at unruly hours of the morning wouldn't bode well with me
Collies are pretty things, aren't they. Bummer about your dog. I've heard of similar cases before, that wouldn't be fun!

I love my Siamese cats. Yes, they are, erm, vocal, but they don't scream at ridiculous hours

I don't know why my dad even wants this dog over another collie.
They really are. Sonny was beautiful too. He was a tri color, which is IMO the best coat color in a collie. Then comes sable collies, who are beautiful too...

Awesome. I'm a big fan of those black and white "regular" cats, I think they're cute. :p My German exchange has one, and it's enormous (saw it on Skype once)
I'll have to google these, I've only ever seen the white and [insert colour here] ones.
I bet it'll be great though!

Ooh, I love cats like that.

I saved a kitten like that once, the mother had died and he was the only survivor.
