The Good life

Just moved from Baltimore Maryland to the upper pan handle of Nebraska. As we crossed the border we learned the state motto. The Good Life! I am a country girl at heart and I am thrilled with our ten acres well out of town. Chickens this spring are the first thing on my list. I have always loved them. When I was 7 my Dad and I got an incubator and hatched a chick. At the time we were living in Denver just across from City Park and the zoo. Not even sure we should have had her. She was a beautiful Plymouth Rock that I had for a number of years and my best friend. I was hooked. We wanted out of city life and want a much simpler life. Thus our big change. Hoping to learn much here so that I will have a successful journey with my chickens.
