The Great Chicken Run!

    Ok I'm sure out of the nearly 800 posts here there are pics and ideas for "the perfect" ground covering for chicken runs...I'm just not seeing it here... We are doing the deep method over dirt right now. I've seen where some are using sand...is this play sand or other. What else makes a great ground covering for the runs. Our size right now is 10'X4'. Which I plan on expanding at some point. Any pics are appreciated too Thx for replying [​IMG]

    Different people use different things. I use whatever I have available. Mostly lawn clippings during the spring, summer and into fall. In the fall and winter I use leaves. When I clean it out everything goes into the compost.
    I tried straw once, way too messy.
