Hello Peeple, After many decisions on design and build, we finally have our coop done. Last night around 3 pm we picked up our new "clan" and brought them home to thier new digs. We have 6 Orpingtons. 2 buff, 2 black / bronze and 2 white speckled. Ages from one month to two. I left 'em in overnight with plenty of fresh water, crumbles and two handfulls of scratch on 2-3 inches of fresh pine shavings. This morning, it was a little cool and overcast, and this afternoon the suns out,,,,,,,,,,why won't they go outside???

LOL, maybe they're scared? Is this the first time they've been outside?

Don't worry, they'll come out and play

When they do, you should post pictures!

It's a big new world for the chicks. It'll take a few days for them to get used to the new setting. They may just sit in the doorway and look about but soon they will venure out, exploring.

It will take your chickies a few days to get settled in and venture out to explore their new surroundings. You should ideally leave them in for a week so they get to know "home". Good luck!
