My father told me "You can no more pick out a man's rifle than you can pick out his wife."
For myself though, I still love the 1911. View attachment 3687552
I know everyone has their favorite firearm & their weapon of choice, (there is a difference) but, unless I’m mistaken, the 1911 is the only handgun in production for almost 115 yrs that has been reproduced by almost every firearm manufacturing company & even some corporations that never has been known to produce firearms. Singer sowing machine corp. for instance.
Nothing with imperfections ever lasts 100+ years!

Are there actually different ways to load guns??
The best source for this information will be your Dad.
There are safety rules for this but the first in this case is 'Don't touch without parential permission.'

Don't let anyone dis you because your new to this. They weren't born knowing everything, (Even if we sometimes act like it,) A couple more things for *Guns 101*.
Almost all handguns today are revolvers or semi-auto.
Revolvers, as the name implies have a cylinder that turns to present a loaded carthage to the barrel to be fired.

Semiauto pistols come in a vast array also but these are some of the popular ones.

When I was shooting Bullseye and ordered my Masaki guns, I ordered extra magazines "tuned" to the gun. The exact shape of the feed lips of the magazine can affect how well they work.

Quality mags can make a HUGE difference.
We had a jig at the range for tuning mags. Wish there was one for .22s we had to do them by hand.
