For reference though remember what we were making then. I was in HS and stocking groceries for $1.25/ h.

About '75 I bought a used 1100 for $200 from a gun/bait shop.
I drove down the spillway levee and tried out. Jammed every shot!
I field striped it in the grass and the entire inside was caked with mud and swamp grass! A duck hunter must have dropped it out of his pirogue into the marsh.
I picked and shook the muck out and it never jammed again.
