Amen! I was very glad to get a Marvel Conversion on a 1911 base to use instead. Also gave me the exact same grip on all of my competition guns, and that was another BIG plus.

You sure you don't have a MKII or III? The kind of defining feature of the IV is that its super easy to take apart and put together.

I haven't struggled with it. Pretty straight forward. The front catch to swing it down can be temperamental though.

Didn't want to say anything, but I can clean it in 10 minutes flat. No tools.

Temperamental is putting it lightly! This is what I'm talking about. My daughter and Granddaughter have no problem blowing up a brick and leaving it for me to clean. I keep threating to sell it.
