Crowing
Hi everyone! Just wanted to make a flock thread where I can just post pictures of the chickens that keep me sane.
Here's a bunch of the girls, cleaning up spilled snacks. I have a small snack door for my kids to feed scoops of pellets to the chickens, for days when I don't want the birds to get out. That being said, they are usually free to range 2/3 of my back yard and explore.
Here is my daughter and Chipotle, doing an impression of "American Gothic"
Here's Nutmeg's butt while she ate some crumbs out of the tool box we store oystershell in.
Queen Emerald, our biggest hen, has very soft feathers. She is huge! But she lets the youngster pick her up without issues. I love her wiggly comb!
Here's the only image I entered into the calendar contest this year. The Queen is selecting the best seeds.
I have more chickens, so of course more to come.
