Question of the Day:

What kind of feed do you use for your chickens?

My hens and rooster love the Don Roberto Game Bird feed. I mix this with the Purina Flock Raiser pellets. This mix is good for my flock of all breeds and ages.

currently 17 chickens:
1 - Blue Andalusian
1- Easter Egger
1 - Golden Wyandotte
4 - Dark colored Game fowl hens (don't know the breed, all game fowl types were given to me)
2 - Tan Game fowl hens (again, don't know the breed)
1 - Grayish game fowl
1 - orange colored game fowl
3 - Australorp hens
1 - Easter egger/australorp mix hen
1 - Australorp/buff orphinton mix hen
1 - Easter egger/game fowl mix rooster

Okay, here is my answer.

What kind of feed to you use for your chickens?

I use Pellet feed.

How many and what breed of chickens do you have?

I have 19 chickens, and the breeds are Barred Rocks, Isa Browns, Americaunas, and Mix of Barred Rocks and Isa Browns. ( I hatched the mix breed.)

All flock pellet feed that's 20% protein with oyster shell on side for hens, I have a rooster.

1 white silkie rooster, 1 white silkie hen, 1 blue laced golden Wyandotte hen, 1 barred rock hen, 1 spotted Sussex Hen, and 1 lavender Orpington Hen.

Kalmbach 20% flock raiser pellets

I have 7 girls, 3 easter eggers named Ginkgo, Ginger and Vanilla, 3 lakeside eggers (Meyer hatchery exclusive easter egger variety) who are Basil, Lavender and Chocolate mint, and a buff orpington named Juniper. They're about 7 1/2 months old and while they've slowed down 'cause of the changing seasons, they give me plenty of eggs

We dewormed our hens the other day so we had to throw their eggs out. I didn’t count.

This is for yesterday as I haven't collected eggs today yet, but I got 2 eggs (fall slowdown) and I have a few loud birds, but imma have to pick ms. flock leader herself, Basil (lakeside egger). She will yell at me if she wants my attention or if she just feels like it. If you upset her she sounds like something straight out of ark survival evolved
