The Haunted Forest RPG

Nearly all 14 eggs have hatched now. Cute green broodlings the size of a 30 pound dog tumble over each other, squabbling and squealing, Slygotha patiently lying nearby as a few play on her back. The broodlings have nearly picked clean the 4 sheep carcasses, and Slygotha holds back half a sheep for the last few eggs that have yet to hatch. Slygotha purrs and coos, arching her neck. The little green babes do not have hardened scales yet, and their spikes are mere buttons down their backs. The wings are small leathery appendages not yet fit to lift a small bird, let alone a baby dragon. Their feathered crests won't grow until they approach puberty. The broodlings' only defense is their poison, and thanks to the broodmother, her poison coated them through and through. Like other poisonous animals, they were brilliantly colored, in this case a neon green with males possessing some mottling reflective of their dad's influence.
Yes, Gorebash. He could be useful. Very useful indeed, thought Slygotha.
( Am I doing all right? Never done this sort of thing online before tbh. )
(yeah, you are, but more interaction with users is typical. So more interaction with other users. Other than that, very good!)

( alrighty then. Slygotha isn't going to leave unless someone makes her, but I have something else in mind if that doesn't happen.)

Slygotha's brood finishes hatching. Gently, she piles her babies into the nest. She gives them the last of the sheep carcass. Then, taking one last glance at her broodlings slumbering in a pile, she lumbers slowly to the entrance and parts the Dragon's Tooth Rose aside. Taking a deep breath, she roars, deafeningly loud. It reverberates across the forest, echoing to every hidden nook.
Something stirs on the forest floor. Something bigger than Slygotha.

~
An eye snaps open. An iris narrow. What had looked before like a small hill or a large pile of jagged overgrown rocks starts to move. Slowly he shakes off the overgrowth clinging to his mottled green nd black scales. The broodmother calls. He launches his wings from his sides, giving them a test flap. Stretching and yawning, Gorebash goes from the Downward Dog to a crouch for takeoff. Taking a deep breath, he roars back to his mate, causing the trees to tremble and the forest to reverberate again. He takes off, dirt scattering from his body, in the direction of Slygotha's lair.

(A pterodactyl lands before her.lol) Eris goes to the entrance of Slygotha's cave.

( I based these dragons off of classic chromatic black dragons, because poison and acid are classic chromatic black dragon attacks.

Now you know why they are a little moody)
Gorebash lands heavily near his consort's lair. He takes note that Slygotha has already cast 'overgrowth' on her swamp plants and created a poison barrier, as well as the acid pool near the entrance. " Something must have upset her" he grumbles to himself. He catches the scent of a female near the entrance to Slygotha's den, then spots her wading through the bog, poking into the den meekly.
Gorebash puffs up, his crest flares, he booms out "and just who are you?"
He prepares to snag her with his claws.
~~
Slygotha calls out from inside her den
"Stay your hand Gorebash. She means no harm to our broodlings. See, your sons and daughters tumble and play on the nest, should you care to enter the den." Slygotha grunts at Eris. Her irises widen a little and her nostrils flare. She has missed her mate, just a little.

Eris said, "I just wanted to see how your eggs are." She is not that nervous as she knows the dragon means no harm unless she harms them.

Gorebash lowers his crest and snorts loudly, a plume of poison rising from his nostrils. " Apparently, this one is immune to poison breath. You are lucky, little 2 legs. Slygotha is not one to strike first. But I am. " Lowering his body, he pushes past Eris to enter the den, his spikes and scales scraping loudly on the rocks.
~~
Slygotha raises her head and touches her mate's snout briefly with her own, snuffling and blowing, relishing each other's scent. She then brings her attention back to Eris.
"So. How did it go with my jug of acid and the cutting of dragon's tooth rose? We're you seen? Are they dead?"
A curious baby dragon sniffs cautiously at Eris, a tiny plume of poison dribbles from its miniature maw.
