Xylo groans in disgust.Lilith pulls out a crystalline vial. She sprinkles a bit of the thick red contents onto her portion, and takes a small glass of it to drink.
Elle's entire body stiffens. She doesn't reply.Greymane comes back to the table. He brings out a few apples he has baked in the cast iron pot on the stove and stuffed with jam and butter from his little goat out in the shed. He sniffs the air and growls.
" You can come out now human. I know you are there. I smell your stench, female." His claws come out and the hair on his neck stands up, just in case. But he sets the baked honeyed apples on the table.
Elle looks around.. "Coast clear." She crouches down and moves as quickly and as quietly as she can towards the light. Now just a few meters from it she can see clearly that it is indeed a window. As she approaches it she sees that there is a curtain drawn across it. "Darn.." She takes another deep breath through her nose, almost able to taste whatever delicious food is being cooked on the other side of the wall. Her mouth begins to water. "Xylo, are you still there?" She whispers. "Who do you suppose lives here?"

Elle turns quickly to xylo and holds her finger to her lips, gesturing to him to be quiet.
