I had a headless chicken! We called her Tessie
She wasn't really headless but had gotten a badly crooked neck by burying down in the bedding and was squished by other chicks. She was the lucky one, 2 others died by doing the same thing.
If you look very closely you will see the tip of her beak.
She got around best by sticking her head further down and running backwards. Don't tell her there was something different about her, that she needed to be culled. Tessie was full of life!! She would run over my DH's feet demanding her share of the treats. She free ranged with everyone else and laid the prettiest double yolkers.
We lost her at around 9months old. Neighbor having "family" issues just turned his dogs loose and didn't feed them. They found Tessie and 2 others when they got hungry.
