The HEAT!

I make sure mine have ice in their drinking water, wether it be a big chunk of ice (freezing a butter dish of water) or a frozen 16 oz water bottle.

I also keep gallon milk jugs, 2 liter bottles, etc in the freezer. I put 4 or so frozen bottles in the hen house every morning, and make sure they have fresh frozen ones if needed in the afternoon.

I've even sprayed their run down in the heat of the day.

Summer is here in Texas, and I'm not ready. Its just too danged hot.

not!

We are currently experiencing a taste of Arizona's wacky weather. We had 110+ temps last weekend/early this week. Starting today and lasting through this weekend, though, theyre talking about SNOW at the higher elevations. Monday, they forecast 107, but only 73 on Thursday. I just wish it would decide what it's going to do and get on with it! LOL
