it has been a long spring. My new BR's showed months early, and received 4 week old birds and not chicks. The chicken coop was snowed in so I had to make a temporary brooder in my garageThe temporary brooder turned into a temporary coop. I built a new coop and got the ladies into it 3 weeks ago. Finally I got the reward I was waiting for. A new small brown egg. I felt like a brand new dad. Well .........not really. Now to get some return on my feed bill. Got to love raising Chickens! Next is to process 10 roosters.
