The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I just recently set up some of my pens but have to fix a few before I put birds in them. I changing from chicken wire to welded wire. Probably a couple of months I'll be getting eggs. I just put the males in with the females.

Just curious, what line are your birds? As you know i am not too happy with my current birds, so i will be looking for some new ones. I love the look of yours.

Reese line. I got birds from BYC member Matt 1616 a few years ago and have been getting a new male from him most every year. I was very impressed with the birds he had brought to a show I attended and inquired who the owner of the birds were and looked for him to see if he had any birds for sale and if so to make arrangements to get some birds. I am very happy with them and have had some champions. Matt's birds as far as I am concerned are the best and I feel privileged to have descendants of them and am keeping them pure.

I have 2 girls with striping in the hackles.I would like to breed out the striping and get it to the tips as called out in the SOP.
Does anyone have experience on striping problems or how to breed it out?
