The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I'm looking for a good quality cockeral or young rooster in Georgia , wanting a good Heritage rhode island red to go with my 15 pullets.

There is an auction every Saturday night at 5 pm at Coker's Sale Barn in Cleveland, GA. That may be a bit far for you. I have seen some heritage rhode island reds there in the past, but not every week.

Hi ,
I know this is the Rhode Island thread but I also know there's judges on this thread .can somebody go over to the "what breed or gender is this?" forum? there's a new thread called "was I cheated?"
this person spent $100 for three brahmas and wants somebody to evaluate them. they look like crap to me but I don't know the breed. if anybody over here could help them out with opinions these new birds. it sure would be nice .
thanks,
Karen

I have some 6 month old SC and RC RIR cockerels and some Rose Comb Dark Brown Leghorn cockerels that I will be bringing to the Inverness show. I have a buyer for the ones I don't sell at the show. I'm trying to get the coops ready for breeding season because I have been using them for grow-out.

Anybody on here attending the RIR Nationals at the Canadian Valley Poultry Show in Oklahoma this coming weekend? I'm looking to buy a good trio from an established line (Nelson, Underwood, Reese, etc.)
Thanks!

Got some pictures of the rosecombs this past weekend, they are now five months old.

They look good for their age. REALLY good! I see nice type on a couple of them (just the right angle), nice dark color, and some really long flat backs on the males. Got to watch that tail angle on the males, though. Some of them look like they're approaching 45 degrees, instead of the standard's 20 degrees. Easier to get them up than it is down. Putting them over flat tailed females should do the trick. All in all, those are some nice birds!!!
