I am just curious... what so special with Gary Underwood RIR compare to other? Are they bigger, faster growth, and better layer ?

Just hatched 23 S.C Bantam Rhode Island Reds

Here are a few pics of my 4 1/2 week old RIR's. I hatched 22 of them. I think I am going to have a few good ones to keep from this group, kind of hard to tell right now. They are at that awkward stage.
I also just set a dozen eggs from Gary Ramey this morning.

Here are my heritage reds from William Bennett's line.
Looks like out of the 5 I have 4 cockerels.
Any one interested in trading some pullets for 3 of these

These are my production reds

Both breeds are 4/5 months old

ok here is the front

pen the in center is for all my chickens, one on the right is soon to be fore sweetgrass turkeys from porters, one on the left is for the guineas

this is the north side, the pens on the left are for my roosters and the one on the right is my brooding pen or chicken isolation pen

these last 2 are of the run in the back for the boys/breeding.

That looks like a good set up. Must be easy to clean out the coop with the big doors in front. Great area for them to hunt and peck for bugs too. Thanks for the post.
